Vancouver — PeaceHealth’s Kearney Breast Centers, in partnership with the Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program, will provide free clinical breast exams and digital 3-D mammograms for uninsured and under-insured women.

The goal of the free screening event is to detect breast cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages.

The screenings will be available in both Vancouver and Longview. The local event is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 21 at PeaceHealth Southwest Kearney Breast Center, 200 N.E. Mother Joseph Place, Suite 420. The Longview event is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 14 at PeaceHealth St. John Kearney Breast Center, 1615 Delaware St.

Free screenings will be provided for women who are age 40 or older and are Washington residents with no current breast health issues and qualify for the state breast health program. To determine eligibility, call 800-992-1817, Ext. 1.
