How Clark County college football players fared, Oct. 21

On a wet, windy day, Willy Warne was on the mark.

The redshirt sophomore from Mountain View High School accounted for all of Linfield’s points in a 12-6 win over George Fox in a clash of the top two teams in the Northwest Conference. Warne was 4 for 4 on field goals, connecting from 20, 32, 35 and 43 yards.

Warne took advantage when the wind was at his back. He made two field goals in the second quarter and two in the fourth.

“All I really had to do was a chip shot and wind would take it,” Warne told OregonLive.com.

Warne has made 10 of 11 field goals with year with a long of 51 yards.

With the win, Linfield clinched its 62nd consecutive winning season.
