Vancouver Community Concert Band seeks all brass, woodwind and percussion players, active and retired. All abilities welcome; no audition required. The volunteer community band, along with its polka band, Dixieland Jazz Band and chamber ensembles, performs regularly around the area. Vancouver USA Singers seek applicants to join the 90-member community choir for its upcoming season of performances, featuring four concerts that will include Brahms’ “Requiem” and “The Music Man.” Auditions will consist of a short song; reading music is required. Art

Gallery 360 invites artists to an open (non-juried) one-month exhibition. “Deck the Halls” is first-come, first-serve to the first 40 artists. Limited to one piece per artist. The theme is general, and the subject is the artist’s choice. It does not have to be holiday related. Entries accepted Nov. 10-24, or when 40 entries are received, whichever comes first. The entry fee is $25 ($20 for Mosaic members). The exhibition runs Nov. 29 to Dec. 30.

Theater

Va Va Voom seeks talent for its upcoming Christmas show, “A Christmas Quandary.” The group is open to those looking to sing, dance, act or work back stage to help put on the performance sat the Barberton Grange and at senior living facilities. The musical theatre troupe feature participants ages 50 and older. Rehearsals are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays at Barberton Grange, 9400 N.E. 72nd Ave., Vancouver.
