Washougal – The Downtown Washougal Pumpkin Harvest Festival will take place from noon to 3 p.m. today at Reflection Plaza, 1703 Main St., Washougal.

Families are asked to dress up in their Halloween costumes for the event, where pumpkins will be handed to each child while there are still pumpkins available. More than 300 of the pumpkins handed out will be harvested from the city garden plot behind city hall, and the 800-900 other pumpkins handed out will be purchased thanks to a donation from Columbia River Realty.

The event is free and will also feature carnival games run by student volunteers, balloon animal makers, apples, popcorn and a selfie station.
