One man is in critical condition and another is in jail after a stabbing at a home in Vancouver’s Ogden neighborhood.

Officers with the Vancouver Police Department were sent to 8620 N.E. 29th Way at about 11:20 p.m. Sunday for a reported disturbance with a weapon.

When they arrived, they arrested Christopher Ollar, a resident of the home, for suspicion of first-degree assault, Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

Ollar spent the evening with his significant other and a male acquaintance and came back to his residence when the two men got into an argument, Kapp said.

The acquaintance was kicked out of the house and was pounding on the door, Kapp said.

Ollar then came outside and stabbed the man in the chest, Kapp said.

The victim, whose name was not released, is in critical condition in the intensive care unit at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, Kapp said.

Ollar was interviewed by major crimes detectives and booked into the Clark County Jail.
