Letter: Support Orange for port

By Betty Montgomery, VANCOUVER
Published: September 14, 2017, 6:00am

I’ll be voting for Don Orange for commissioner, Port of Vancouver. Orange is a thoughtful man who plans to focus on bringing accountability and transparency to port administration. Our port has just admitted it violated meetings laws during its discussions about a new oil terminal in 2013. We need to elect a commissioner who will ensure no repetition of that.

Orange understands the relationship between port decisions and our community’s desire to protect our beautiful city’s clean air and clean water. He supports business at the port that will not endanger our environment. Vote for Don Orange.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
