WSDOT seeks input about Highway 14 improvements

The Washington State Department of Transportation is hosting an open house next week to share ideas with the public about future improvements of state Highway 14 between Interstate 205 and Southeast 164th Avenue.

Because of growing congestion on Highway 14 during peak commuting hours, WSDOT is working on a project to improve reliability and travel speeds in the corridor.

The open house will be 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at C-Tran’s Fisher’s Landing Transit Center, Rose F. Besserman Community Room, 3510 S.E. 164th Ave., Vancouver.

No formal presentation is planned. Attendees will be able to meet with WSDOT staff to discuss the project.

C-Tran representatives will also be present to discuss service changes and an upcoming bus-on-shoulder study on Highway 14. The public can fill out a survey on the project at www.surveymonkey.com/r/W735H2Y.
