Letter: Support Woodland pool

By Benno Dobbe, VANCOUVER
Published: September 26, 2017, 6:00am

I grew up in the Netherlands, which is below sea level, and the majority of kids, adults, fisherman and soldiers didn’t know how to swim. The drowning rate was very high. Today there are swimming pools in almost every town and the drowning rate is low. Building a Woodland community YMCA pool facility will help save lives and offer kids and individuals of all ages and abilities the opportunity to improve their health and well-being.

On Nov. 7, you have the opportunity to make the Woodland community swimming pool a reality!
