A Vancouver woman was hospitalized after she rear-ended another vehicle while going over the Interstate 5 Bridge Wednesday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Beverly A. McCullough, 72, was heading south after 11:20 a.m., troopers said.
Nahsyeli A. Brambila, 25, of Sandy, Ore., was also heading south, ahead of McCullough, and had stopped for traffic. The State Patrol said McCullough didn’t stop in time and struck Brambila’s vehicle in the rear.

The crash totaled McCullough’s car, and she was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for her injuries, according to the State Patrol. She was listed as in satisfactory condition Wednesday afternoon, according to the hospital.

Brambila was not seriously hurt, and drove from the scene.

The State Patrol said McCullough was cited for following too closely and for driving without insurance.
