Letter: B.G. bond measure is necessary

By Richard Kussin, Ridgefield

Here is why we should pass the Battle Ground Public Schools bond:

1. The need is obvious. Many of the buildings are overcrowded, or are being renovated/replaced after 40 to 60 years.

2. Money is cheap. Today’s low interest rates make this a good time to borrow.

3. Our children are a good investment.

4. It is also a good investment for homeowners. The best way to raise property values is to improve the school district.

That is why I am voting for it.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
