Letter: Who would put up with Trump?

By Philip S. Parker, Vancouver
Published: April 10, 2018, 6:00am

At least 25 members of President Trump’s administration have resigned or been fired since Jan. 30, 2017 (Pictured in The Columbian, March 29, accompanying the Associated Press story “VA secretary Shulkin ousted”). They should all feel relieved. Since most of them are independently wealthy, it’s really surprising they didn’t all resign a long time ago. Why anyone who didn’t have to would put up working for Trump is beyond my understanding. Hopefully, we will elect a president in 2020 who studies the issues and consults advisers for their expert advice before announcing a policy.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
