Nominees for Week 4 spring sports prep athlete of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian spring sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending April 14.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

ASHLEY CLARK, CAMAS GIRLS GOLF: Clark shot an 82 to beat Liz Dolan of Kelso by one shot at the Chieftain Invitational at Tri-Mountain Golf Course.

TYLER FLANAGAN, WOODLAND BOYS TRACK AND FIELD: Flanagan won the 300 hurdles (41.67), placed second in the 110 hurdles (16.12) and fourth in the javelin (163-9) at the Willamette Falls Invitational in Oregon City.

LUCY IANELLO, COLUMBIA RIVER GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD: The freshman won the 800 (2:28.33) and the 1,600 (5:27.47) at the John Ingram Twilight meet at Columbia River.

TAYLOR PAULL, MOUNTAIN VIEW SOFTBALL: Paull went 5 for 7 with two doubles, a triple and five RBI in two league wins for the Thunder.

ALEC WATKINS, LA CENTER BOYS SOCCER: Watkins scored two hat tricks (3-goal games) as the Wildcats posted two Trico League victories.
