Ridgefield student earns award, scholarship from Daughters of the American Revolution

Ridgefield — Sally Bishop-Smith, a senior at Ridgefield High School, received the 2018 Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizens Award and Scholarship from the Fort Vancouver chapter of the organization. The award recognizes “individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism to an outstanding degree,” according to a release from the chapter. Bishop-Smith had to submit her academic record, letters of recommendation and essay responses to earn the award and scholarship.
