C-Tran and Waste Connections are hosting a free document shredding event 9 a.m. and noon April 28 at Fisher’s Landing Transit Center, 3510 S.E. 164th Ave., Vancouver.

The public is invited to bring up to two boxes or bags of paper for shredding.

C-Tran will also accept donations on behalf of Share Vancouver, a service provider for the homeless and in-need community members. Donations of clothing, nonperishable food and toiletries such as hand soap and laundry detergent are suggested.

The event is being organized by the C-Tran Green Team, an employee-led initiative that strives to make the agency a cleaner, greener operation while serving the community.
