The Portland Thorns got the boost they needed as Tobin Heath made her second appearance of the season Saturday and scored the game-tying goal in a 1-1 draw against the Utah Royals on Saturday at Sandy, Utah.
Heath scored the equalizer in the 67th minute. She took a pass from Christine Sinclair and chipped a shot over the head of Utah goalkeeper Abby Smith.
Portland improves to 2-1-2 overall.
Utah (0-1-4) had a 1-0 lead after an unassisted goal by Amy Rodriguez in the 53rd minute.
