Letter: Thanks for help with cleanup

By Jaynee Haygood, Vancouver

Recently we had our once-a-year neighborhood cleanup event. We’ve found it to be a welcome and valued event for our community. I want to thank all of those who made it possible.

Many special thanks for the help of our volunteers: Sabrina, AJ and Jeff. Thank you for directing traffic, loading scrap metal, unloading vehicles, etc. Huge kudos to Mike, Brian, Derek, Josh, and Angel with Waste Connections. They were hardworking and helpful. For six hours, they worked nonstop on a sunny Saturday, assisting our neighborhood members unload items from their vehicles — from small items to the large and cumbersome ones.

Finally, many thanks to the city of Vancouver and Waste Connections for providing the resources for this event to our Vancouver neighborhoods. I know our neighborhood really appreciates it.
