On July 12, the House passed a bill (H.R. 3281) that would make it easier for private organizations to acquire taxpayer-owned water infrastructure from the Bureau of Reclamation. The bureau on its own could clear sales that would take effect after 90 days unless both houses of Congress wish to kill the deal.
