Letter: Gibson shows disregard for people

I just watched a video clip of U.S. Senate candidate Joey Gibson, with Patriot Prayer, speaking about his full-time commitment to guns and his need to have one with him at all times. Behind him his young son plays happily with a gun. Perhaps Gibson is unaware that eight kids are unintentionally injured or killed by a loaded, unlocked gun each day.

It is horrific that a man with such apparent disregard for the welfare of children and a man who appears to relish violent protest should run for office.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
