Letter: Food Bank helps meet need

By Dave Cannard, Treasurer, Clark County Adventist Community Services

I appreciated seeing “Fresh Alliance: No food left behind” (Aug. 20, The Columbian), about the Fresh Alliance program and the Clark County Food Bank participation in it. Those of us who volunteer in the many food pantries in Clark County that distribute the food to our clients love to be able to offer fresh fruits and vegetables along with the staples that we receive through CCFB. There is much need in our area and with all of our help we can meet many of those needs.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
