Matt Bryant scored 27 points, including two late game-sealing 3s, to lead La Center past Ridgefield 66-58 on Monday night.

Bryant’s second 3, which came after La Center waited out the shot clock until there was five seconds left, came with 1:30 left and pushed the Wildcat lead to eight.

“We led the entire way but could never put them away,” Wildcats coach Jeremy Ecklund said.

Hunter Ecklund had 12 points, 10 of which from free throws where he was 10 of 12.

The Wildcats were 27 of 33 from the line as a team and posted a season-low nine turnovers.

They built a seven point lead at half time, and needed every point until late.

“We kept getting pressure and they wanted to run with hus a little bit … we got buckets quickly in transition,” Jeremy Ecklund said.

Josh Mansur led the Spudders with a game-high 27 points.
