Girls basketball: Skyview 76, Wilsonville (Ore.) 72

Skyview got a career-high in points from Maddie Hendricks and a key steal and lay-in by Remingtin Riley helped seal the Storm’s win over Oregon’s top-ranked 5A team.

“We knew they liked to run,” coach Brett Johnson said of the Wildcats, “and we didn’t want to run with them.

Instead, Skyview hit eight 3-pointers, scored 47 first-half points and went 20 of 23 at the free-throw line.

The teams combined for 18 made 3-pointers and 53 second-quarter points.

Hendricks had a career-high 29 points, including a perfect 10 of 10 at the free-throw line, as one of three Storm to score in double figures. Emily Norton had 19 points and Kazz Parks added 17.

Riley, who had five points, also had a team-best six steals, and her final one came inside 1 minute to go to give the Storm a 3-point lead.
