Girls basketball: Camas 52, West Linn (Ore.) 47

Haylie Johnson’s only field goal Tuesday night came at the right time for Camas’ girls basketball team.

It forced overtime against Oregon’s top-ranked Class 6A team, where the Papermakers then won in overtime, 52-47, over West Linn (Ore.).

Haley Hanson finished with 17 points and six assists and Faith Bergstom added 12 points and eight rebounds for the Papermakers, improving to 4-2. Jalena Carlisle added eight points and a team-high 13 rebounds.

Hannah Booth had four of her seven points to start overtime.

Aaronette Vonleh, a 6-foot-4 sophomore post and sister of ex-Trail Blazers guard Noah Vonleh, led the Lions with 20 points.
