Special delivery for Santa: 200 bikes for Scott Campbell Christmas Promise

Doug Morris of Waste Connections donned a Santa suit while helping to unload a truck with 200 bikes for the annual Scott Campbell Christmas Promise on Tuesday at the Washington Department of Social and Health Services in Vancouver.

Police said last Wednesday that thieves stole 16  bikes from a trailer parked behind a Vancouver Walmart on Dec. 4. Cyndi Holloway, with Waste Connections, said she has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the community, and that it’s been a record year with well over 850 bikes. “From heartbreak to overwhelming generosity,” she said.
