Amboy — Amboy Middle School students collected 1,434 pairs of socks for Socktober, a national effort to collect socks and donate them to homeless shelters. Socks are one of the least-donated items. Donated socks will be made available to local families and students in need through the district’s Family and Community Resource Center. Anyone interested in donating new socks or blankets to the center, or are in need such items, can contact the center by emailing fcrc@battlegroundps.org or calling 360-885-5434.
