Boys basketball: Heritage 80, Fort Vancouver 62

The Timberwolves hit five of their 11 3-pointers in the first quarter to cruise to their nonleague win and improve to 5-1 overall.

Heritage has won five straight since dropping its season opener to Evergreen in overtime.

Leading scorer Conner Childs hit three 3s as part of Heritage’s 29-point first quarter and finished with 21 points. Heritage led 48-26 at halftime.

Jared Padley added 15 points, Capone Johnson had 11 and Emmari Brown added 10.

Sergio Hunt led Fort (0-5) with 21 points.
