It was hard reading about the distress and protest over the naming of the proposed Ed and Dollie Lynch Park. Whereas I appreciate the historical sensitivities being expressed, all should remember the following: Ed and Dollie have supported this community almost like no other.
More significantly, I knew Ed and Dollie. They were kind, loving, humble and extremely generous. They deserve to be remembered and appreciated by this community in the most positive and respectful light. This should not be lost. I hope community leaders and all concerned members of the community come together to reach a common ground.
