Girls basketball: Prairie 74, Kelso 39

Cassidy Gardner scored 14 of her game-high 20 points in the fourth quarter to help the Falcons coast.

Prairie hit a season-low five 3-pointers. Instead, they went inside.

A 17-point halftime lead was compounded when Brooke Walling opened the third quarter with three and-ones in a row.

“Brooke took over in the second half with her inside scoring,” coach Hala Corral said.

She finished with 17 points and Kendyl Carson added 13 points.

Haley Reed had eight rebounds and Alli Corral dished out six assists.
