Washougal – Washougal Superintendent Mike Stromme has announced that he is leaving the district after the current school year to work for Vancouver Public Schools.

The Washougal school board is inviting the community to a public forum to provide input on the skills and qualifications they feel are desired for Stromme’s successor. The group is scheduled to meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the commons at Columbia River Gorge Elementary School and Jemtegaard Middle School, 35300 S.E. Evergreen Highway, Washougal.

The district hired Northwest Leadership Associates to conduct the candidate search. Those unable to attend the forum can fill out an online survey to provide input into the process. The survey can be found at www.washougal.k12.wa.us.
