Letter: Support Evergreen school bond

By Adam Aguilera, Vancouver
Published: February 5, 2018, 6:00am

I teach English in the same portable classroom at Heritage High School where I student-taught 10 years ago. It takes 10 minutes for my students to walk in cold, rainy weather to use the restroom. This bond would add a 25,000-square-foot extension to the campus, eliminating decaying portable buildings that are often home to rats, spiders and wasps. Our kids deserve a first-class public education. Vote “yes” for the Evergreen Public Schools bond and, together, we can expand opportunity for all our students across the district.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
