Interested in becoming a Clark County reserve deputy? The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is holding an informational presentation on the program March 1.

Clark County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Deputies are fully commissioned law enforcement officers who volunteer their time to assist with law enforcement activities, according to a news release.

The reserve deputy program is aimed at professional adults who are interested in public safety and service but can’t commit to a full-time career in law enforcement. Working as a reserve duty can be a way to explore a career in law enforcement.

Duties include routine patrol, traffic enforcement, bicycle patrol, crime scene protection, traffic and crowd control at public events and others. Trainings are held locally and scheduled outside typical working hours and all required equipment and uniforms are provided by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The presentation will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Public Safety Complex, 505 N.W. 179th St. in Ridgefield. The building is in the northwest corner of the fairgrounds.
