Clark County — Sea Mar Community Health Centers handed out more than 10,000 toys to children in low-income families around the state during the organization’s holiday parties. Sea Mar, which has various health facilities throughout Clark County, is a community-based organization that aims to provide comprehensive health, human, housing, educational and cultural services to diverse communities, specializing in service to Latinos. Money for the gifts came from the organization’s two charity golf tournaments earlier in the year, held in Seattle and Yakima. The families invited to the annual event are patients served by Sea Mar who meet federal low-income eligibility guidelines. The free holiday parties included a holiday meal, three gifts for each child in the family up to 12 years old, children’s crafts and activities, live entertainment and photos with Santa.
