Letter: Social Security increase?

By John Butler, Vancouver
Published: January 4, 2018, 6:00am

I checked the dollar amounts on my statement from the Social Security administration concerning the new 2 percent raise for 2018. The new amount received by me is actually less than 1 percent, due to Medicare Part B increasing about 22 percent. Oh well, at least we got something. I hope everyone else did better.
