Boys basketball: La Center 80, Stevenson 57

Matt Bryant had 22 points and four steals and Hunter Ecklund added 19 points and five assists as La Center won its sixth straight.

After an 18-18 first quarter, the Wildcats seized control in the second quarter, taking a 43-29 lead into the intermission.

Avery Seter had 15 points and five rebounds.

With King’s Way Christian’s loss, La Center (10-6, 6-0 Trico) has a two-game lead in the Trico League with four to play. The Wildcats host second-place King’s Way on Tuesday.

For Stevenson, Isaac Hoidal had 12 points and 11 rebounds, Maclain Hall added 16 points and five rebounds and Charles Hobbs had 10 rebounds.
