Girls basketball: Washougal 35, Hockinson 32

Beyonce Bea had 15 points, nine rebounds and six blocks, including one on Hockinson’s final game-tying attempt as Washougal won its 12th in a row.

After a missed Washougal free throw, Hockinson had one last chance to tie the game on a 3-pointer, but Bea blocked it.

McKinley Stotts had eight points and four rebounds and Skylar Bea added six points and 13 rebounds for the Panthers.

“We missed 15 layups,” Hockinson coach Damon Roche said. “It was amazing actually. They played very tough.”

Grace Russell paced Hockinson with 15 points and six steals.
