Update: Traffic maps indicated the crash on Interstate 5 had been cleared around 7:30 a.m., though the southbound commute in Vancouver remained slowed.

A crash on Interstate 5 near Marine Drive in Portland is causing traffic to back up into Vancouver.

The Oregon Department of Transportation labeled the incident, which happened at 6:48 a.m., a major crash. The involved vehicles were quickly cleared to the left shoulder of I-5.

Commuters can expect stop and go traffic and delays of up to 13 minutes, according to Total Traffic and Weather Network.

Traffic maps show the slowdown nearly reaching N.E. 78th Street, near Fred Meyer’s, as of 7:10 a.m.

No Wednesday morning crashes have slowed traffic on the city streets of Vancouver.

The Washington Department of Transportation lists one construction alert in Ridgefield, warning drivers there that work on a roundabout will cause delays in both directions on state Highway 501 and Pioneer Street.
