Clark County law enforcement agencies will have additional officers on the roads this weekend to catch intoxicated drivers.
The Vancouver and Washougal police departments, as well as the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, are taking part in the enhanced DUI enforcement. While many similar initiatives happen around holiday weekends, this effort is simply a push to keep drugged and drunk drivers off the road.
The enforcement is possible due to a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission, which covers overtime costs for officers.
