Carolyn Long, a Washington State University professor who has spent her career teaching about the political process, is our best chance at defeating Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground. Long understands that winning is just the first step. Working in a polarized bipartisan environment will require understanding, communication, diplomacy, and incremental steps. She will work towards universal health care, livable-wage jobs, and environmental protection.
