PORTLAND — A deadly wildfire in north-central Oregon is more than 90 percent contained.
Fire officials said Monday that evacuation levels have been reduced and all roads are open.
The fire east of The Dalles has burned 123 square miles (318 square kilometers) of wheat fields and grasslands. Last week it killed a tractor operator who was trying to protect a neighboring property by clearing a strip of land to stop flames from advancing.
Firefighters continue to battle other blazes in the state, including a complex of fires that has caused evacuations in southwestern Oregon.
