Firefighters find smoke, activated sprinkler system but no flames at office building

The Vancouver Fire Department responded to smoke and an activated sprinkler system in an office building in downtown Vancouver about 7:10 p.m. Saturday.

Firefighters initially responded to an activated alarm at the building at 500 W. Eighth St. When they arrived, firefighters discovered light smoke on the second floor but no flames.
