Letter: Vote, stand up to president

By Tom Koon, Ridgefield

I am 75 years old and have always voted for the person, not the party. Most of my ballots were a mixture of Republican and Democrat votes, depending on the integrity and views of the candidate.

I recently mailed in my ballot and voted a straight Democratic ticket, regardless of the person running. I have done this to do everything in my power to rid our country of unquestionably the very worst president we have ever had as well as the spineless Republicans who fail to stand up to him when he is continually wrong.

If you agree, please show the Republicans that there is a political cost for standing up for the president rather than the citizens of this great country of ours. Where are the true statesmen like Ronald Reagan when we need them?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
