Letter: President Trump is a bully

By Don Howard, Camas
Published: July 29, 2018, 6:00am

The dictionary defines bully as “a blustering, browbeating, person especially one who is habitually cruel, insulting, or threatening to others who are weaker, smaller, or in some way vulnerable.”

President Trump insists he’s being strong on his border policy by separating young children from parents. In the president’s own twisted mind, what he perceives as strength is actually cold-hearted bullying of helpless children. Trump then proudly stands in awe of his own power and this accomplishment. That’s sick!

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
