Mr. Worldwide is coming to our little piece of the world.

Pitbull, the rapper, pop star and global entrepreneur and pitchman, will play at ilani on July 15. General admission tickets are $99 and go on sale at 10 a.m. June 8 via ilaniresort.com and Ticketmaster.

Pitbull, aka Mr. 305, aka Mr. Worldwide, started out in life as Armando Christian Perez, the son of Cuban expatriates, in Miami (area code 305). Starting out rapping over heavy “Miami bass”-style grooves, he’s risen to international success as a singer and rapper in both English and Spanish, his attention-grabbing partnerships with other stars, his social networking and satellite radio channels, his vodka and fragrance product lines and his annual signature cruises on Norwegian Cruise Lines.

His 2016 album “Dale” won a Grammy for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album. His latest albums are “Climate Change” and a greatest hits compilation.
