A 14-year-old who attends Alki Middle School sent a Snapchat message Thursday morning to another student that said “Perfect day for a school shooting,” according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The boy sent the message at about 11:08 a.m., deputies said. The recipient alerted authorities.

A Clark County school resource deputy went to the middle school and took the teen into custody on suspicion of felony harassment and disrupting school activities, as well as threatening to bomb or injure a building.

“There was no active threat at the school and the school was not placed into lockdown,” deputies said.
