The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington has been awarded a $5,000 grant to help fund its oral health program. The grant was given by DentaQuest, a company focused on improving oral health. The Free Clinic’s program has served thousands of low-income, uninsured children and adults. Dental volunteers fill cavities and screen, seal and varnish children’s teeth. Dental care for adults includes extractions, fillings, repairing broken teeth and pain relief. Without the Free Clinic, many patients would have to find more costly alternatives or postpone needed care.
