The Health Systems Quality Assurance Division of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.

In February, the Nursing Commission ended conditions on the registered nurse credential of William Edward Strawn.

In February, the Nursing Assistant Program charged registered nursing assistant Dan Francu with unprofessional conduct and immediately suspended his credential. After finding that Francu mentally abused a vulnerable adult, the state Department of Social and Health Services will not allow him to be employed in caring for or having unsupervised access to vulnerable adults.

In February, the Massage Program dismissed charges against massage therapist Joseph L. Reef.

In February, the Unlicensed Practice Program notified Amee Ireland of its intent to issue a cease-and-desist order. Ireland allegedly practiced medicine without a license.

In February, the Oregon State Board of Nursing accepted the Voluntary Surrender of Wai M. Mak’s practical nurse license for abusing and neglecting a client, inaccurate and incomplete recordkeeping, and failing to conform to the essential standards of acceptable nursing practice. She lives in Vancouver.
