Letter: Herrera Beutler doesn’t represent

By James Hutchison, Camas

Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, supports the killing of sea lions in the Columbia River to benefit salmon runs. Yet she is now co-sponsoring legislation to prevent removal of Snake River dams that would achieve added benefits to salmon. That’s consistency?

She occasionally pesters me with mailed surveys or phone recordings asking for my opinion on various subjects. But she will only answer my questions via form letters, without providing the opportunity to meet with her personally. That’s representation?
