Blazers surprise, coach youth basketball teams in Vancouver

Central Park — Some special guests were in attendance at the first Police Activities League Youth Basketball Championship at Clark College on March 2: Maurice Harkless and Pat Connaughton from the Portland Trail Blazers, along with the team dancers, stunt team and Blaze, the mascot. Blazers announcer Mark Mason called the game, which was coached by the two players, with Harkless’s squad emerging victorious, 30-24. The visit was organized by the Blazers and Nautilus Inc.
