WSUV hosting forums to discuss opioid crisis

Washington State University Vancouver is hosting a community conversation about the opioid crisis.

The Initiative for Public Deliberation at WSU Vancouver is sponsoring the event, which will feature small-group conversations at four locations in Clark, Cowlitz and Skamania counties. Here are the upcoming events:

• 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 20 at Evergreen High School, 14300 N.E. 18th St., Vancouver.

• 4 to 5:30 p.m. March 22 at Hegewald Center, 710 S.W. Rock Creek Drive, Stevenson.

• 6:30 to 8 p.m. March 22 at Washougal Community Library, 1661 C St., Washougal.

• 1 to 2:30 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 23 at Cowlitz County Event Center, 1900 Seventh Ave., Longview.

The conversations will look at the causes and effects of opioid abuse in Southwest Washington.
