Nominees for Week 2 spring sports athlete of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian spring sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending March 24.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

RYAN CIBART, HERITAGE BOYS TRACK AND FIELD: Cibart set a school record in the 1,600 in 4:21 vs. Camas and placed second in the 800 at the Tiger Invite.

KENNEDY FERGUSON, CAMAS SOFTBALL: Ferguson recorded all 15 outs by strikeout in a five-inning no-hitter of Scappoose, Ore.

AMELIA PULLEN, WASHOUGAL GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD: Pullen set a school record in the 3,200, running 11:20.31, the top 2A time in the state this season.

ANDREW SELDEN, MOUNTAIN VIEW BASEBALL: Selden threw 5.1 shutout innings, allowing one hit and striking out nine vs. Columbia River, then went 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI vs. Kelso.

LEVAN ZHIVIDZE, EVERGREEN BOYS SOCCER: The senior scored two goals against Union, then added two assists against Tumwater.
