The Clark County Arts Commission is seeking applicants for Clark County poet laureate. The application deadline is midnight May 18. Applicants must reside in Clark County, should have five years experience as a practicing poet, have a working knowledge of modern poetry practices and concepts, be active in the Clark County poetry scene, and have published three different collections of poetry, online or print. The laureate is a two-year volunteer position, and requires the ability to plan and participate in readings, classes, workshops and public speaking events. The laureate also creates a project to help the poetry community and engage Clark County residents.
